Our intimate, makuti-thatch restaurant overlooks the beach, and serves only the freshest Swahili and international dishes – reflecting the best that the Indian Ocean has to offer. And if you fancy dining on the beach by candlelight, or having a bbq with friends, just ask – because at Smiles we’re happy if you’re happy. All our rooms have a balcony or terrace with sea views, a/c, satellite TV (if you can tear yourself away from the view) and pristine ensuite bathrooms with hot and cold water.The raised beds are draped in mosquito nets, and so comfortable our guests sometimes find it hard to leave. Luckily there’s no need, as we’re more than happy to serve a sumptuous breakfast in bed.
