Eastern & Southern Safaris is a Kenyan family owned tour operator. The company was established in 1997 and we have offices at the 6th floor of Finance House, Loita Street in Nairobi.

The Directors are Njoroge Maina (Mr.) and Serah Njoroge (Mrs.) both born and brought up in Kenya. Working as a team with all our staff and paying particular attention to detail, we pride ourselves in our personalized service and continuously endeavor and have great pleasure in ensuring most rewarding safaris to all our clients.

• Flexibility
  Our scope is currently limited to Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. This is no coincidence as we purpose to focus on what we know and what we do best. Our guiding principle is to work with each client, family and group in an individual way. We encourage you to work with us, discussing your interests, style of travel, budget, time frame and any other factors that would influence your trip - to come up with an itinerary best suited to you, your family or group. Noting that some have said that travel to Africa is not inexpensive, our tours offer the best value for your money.
  
  
• Transportation
  Our vehicles are 7-seater custom safari minibuses with pop-up roof ideal for game viewing and sight seeing. The buses are well maintained to provide maximum level of comfort and safety and are fitted with HF long range radios for easy communication. The vehicles are fully equipped with cool-boxes and first aid kits, as well as guide books on wildlife, birds and plants of East Africa.
  In Tanzania, we are able to arrange for 4x4 Landcruiser/Landrovers on request at no extra cost, but subject to availability.
  
  
• Our driver/guides
  We know this for a fact! The success of your safari will largely depend on your driver/guide. It is because of this that we have a great team of carefully selected driver/guides, well trained and experienced and with a vast knowledge of the wildlife and animal behavior as well as the local fauna and flora. Our driver/guides speak English, Spanish and French.
  
  
• Departures
  To make it is easy and convenient for the traveller, all our safaris depart daily with a minimum of 2 persons booking. We do this to allow our itineraries/safaris fit into your schedule, and prices are thus based on two persons and will go down with 3 and more participants. Please provide us with this information during your first enquiry to help us send you a most appropriate quotation.
  
  
• Briefs
  At the start of your safari, either Serah, or one of our tour consultants will take time to meet you preferably at our office (whenever possible) to introduce your driver/guide and take you through the safari program explaining what to expect while on the safari, provide background information and materials, discuss the dos and don'ts as well as answer any last minute questions that you may have.
  
  
• Accommodation
  Accommodation is valid and will greatly depend on your budget. There are several types ranging from 5-star hotels/lodges and luxury tented camps to the more basic adventurous camping for those who want to "rough it". We can and will help you choose from the list when planning your trip. At whatever level, we provide the very best for our guests.
  
  
• Incase of Emergency
  We provide free membership with Flying Doctors' Society of Africa to all our clients while on safari with us. This will offer you, the traveller security in the knowledge that should a medical emergency arise, the Flying Doctors Service and evacuation to a reputable hospital are just a call away. This service covers only rescue and we recommend that you take out all of the necessary Travel/Medical Insurance before commencing on your journey.
  
  
• Affiliations
  We are members of Kenya Association of Tour Operators (KATO) and Kenya Tourism Foundation (KTF). This obligates us to observe the Association's strict code of conduct designed to ensure that members trade honestly and professionally at all times. The Association also expects members to comply with the spirit of Kenya's tourist reputation, offering high quality service, comfort, safety and value to all clients. Besides, we care for the environment and the local people living near the National Parks and Game Reserves. To this end, Eastern & Southern Safaris contributes and is a member of East African Wildlife Society of Kenya whose mission is to promote the conservation and wise use of wildlife and the environment in East Africa.
